AMC/Sundance Channel Global Appoints Asian Management Team
Sundance Channel also picked up British dramas "Mr Selfridge" and "Secret State" for its Asian channels.
AMC Networks international division, AMC/Sundance Channel Global, has unveiled its new team for the Asian Pacific markets.
Courtney Williams will take up the newly-created position of managing director of business development and strategy, Asian Pacific; Donovan Castillo-Mohlman is the region's new head of programming and scheduling for the group and Lorraine Ou has been appointed marketing manager, Asian Pacific. Bruce Tuchman, President of AMC/Sundance Channel Global, announced the new appointments today ahead of next week's Asian Pacific Pay-TV operators summit in Bali, Indonesia.
Williams will oversee revenue and strategic development for AMC/Sundance Channel operations across the region, reporting directly to Tuchman. Castillo-Mohlman, who will be based in Singapore, will oversee programming and scheduling for the Sundance Channel and WE tv networks in the Asian Pacific, reporting to AMC/Sundance Channel Global director of programming and scheduling Patrick Connolly. Ou, also based in Singapore, is tasked with supporting the group's affiliate marketing efforts across the region and will report to Keith Mak, who oversees affiliate distribution and marketing for Sundance Channel and WE tv in Asia.
In a separate move, AMC/Sundance Channel Global picked up a series of titles for its Asian networks, with Sundance Channel securing rights for British period drama Mr Selfridge, starring Jeremy Piven from ITV Studios Global Entertainment and the miniseries Secret State featuring Gabriel Byrne and Ralph Ineson from All3Media International. The company also picked up Oscar-winners Amour (from Les Films du Losange) and the documentary Searching for Sugar Man (from Protagonist) for its Sundance Channel in Malaysia.
