'American Idiot' Announces North American Tour

The musical will kick off in Toronto on Dec. 28 before ending in Seattle on June 10, 2012.
American Idiot, based on the songs by Green Day off its album of the same name, will tour North America, producers announced Monday.
The musical will kick off in the Toronto Centre for the Arts in Toronto on Dec. 28 and end in Seattle’s Paramount Theatre on June 10.
American Idiot officially opened on Broadway on April 20, 2010, with previews beginning March 24, 2010 before closing Sunday. The show won a Grammy for best musical show album, two Tonys, a Drama Desk award and an Outer Critics Circle award. The cast included Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong for a special engagement.
