'American Idol' Star Pia Toscano Gains 30,000 Twitter Followers

After her shocking elimination Thursday on Fox’s American Idol, fans flocked to Twitter to follow Pia Toscano.   She gained 30,000 followers on her Twitter account overnight.   Not only is this an impressive number, but she now has more followers than all 10 Idols and season 9 champ Lee DeWyze.   "She was one of the most talented singers we had," judge Jennifer Lopez said Friday on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show. "I'm still shocked."    "Honestly, I don't know what happened," she said when asked why the power-balladeer was sent home. "[Maybe] people thought she was safe, as I did ... Maybe there was something that wasn't connecting [with the audience] that we didn't see."
