'American Reunion' Star Chris Klein Says He Was Pranked By Jason Biggs His First Day Back on Set (Video)
The actor, who plays Oz in the teen comedy franchise, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter at the fourth film’s premiere.
Chris Klein has been part of the American Pie films since the beginning, and returns to the screen in American Reunion, which was released on April 6.
The fourth film in Universal's raunchy teen comedy franchise sees his character, Oz, as a sports broadcaster, who, according to Klein, is also a hip-hop dancer.

Klein spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his reasons for returning to the franchise, and working with directors Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg.
“I can guarantee that fans of this franchise will walk away from the Reunion thrilled because Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg did an amazing job of bringing the movie back to the original tones of that first movie,” he told THR at the premiere for the film.
It turns out that Oz may be an adult with a job and a girlfriend in the fourth film, but he’s still in love with his first love, Heather (Mena Suvari).
“That is amazing because I love that story line,” Klein told THR. “And I love being Oz and I love that Oz is in love with heather.

The entire original cast including Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Mena Suvari, Tara Reid, Alyson Hannigan, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Eddie Kaye Thomas and Jennifer Coolidge appear in the fourth film, which follows their characters as they head back to their hometown for their 10-year high school reunion.
While it’s been 13 years since the first film was released, the American Pie cast is still clearly very young at heart. Co-star Alyson Hannigan told THR that when the male stars get back together they “regress not even to high school but more like junior high.”
Klein told THR that he was the victim of a prank on his very first day on the American Reunion set.
“I immediately got hit in the balls,” he said. The perpetrator of the crime? Jason Biggs, who is not only starring in the fourth film, but is also an executive producer along with Seann William Scott.
“I would have to say that he leads the charge on all this. Not only that, but now he’s the boss,” said Klein. “Who would’ve seen that coming?”
