Ammo's Longtime Managing Partner Heads to Sunset Strip's Standard Hotel
Benny Bohm is turning the hipster-hewing restaurant into a serious, seasonal space with two former Osteria Mozza chefs

Ranked No. 6 on THR's Power Lunch survey by industry players, Ammo is where Westside execs and Valley bigwigs converge over brown rice stir-fry. Yet the Highland Avenue restaurant lost its hands-on, ultraconnected public face, longtime managing partner Benny Bohm, on Oct. 31.
He was lured to the Sunset Strip's Standard hotel, which is remaking its hipster-hewing restaurant into a serious, seasonal space under a pair of chefs who worked at Osteria Mozza and the late Sona. "Since I started talking to my customers about leaving, I realized how many live right around [the Standard]," says Bohm, who started Nov. 10. "And they have nowhere to go. Now they will."
