Keegan-Michael Key, Laura Benanti and Alan Tudyk also star in the new stage comedy.

Amy Schumer is bound for Broadway.

The actress is set to star in Steve Martin's new play, Meteor Shower, alongside Keegan-Michael Key, Laura Benanti and Alan Tudyk. The comedy, to be directed by Jerry Zaks, marks both Schumer's and Key's Broadway debuts.

Previews begin Nov. 1 ahead of a Nov. 29 opening night at the Booth Theatre.

The absurdist comedy, about the anxieties lurking beneath the surface of modern marriage, is set on a hot night in Ojai, Calif., and Corky (Schumer) and her husband Norm (Tudyk) are having another couple over for dinner. Laura (Benanti) and Gerald (Key), though, aren't looking for a casual evening of polite small talk with new friends. Eventually, the two couples find themselves in a marital free fall matched in velocity and peril only by the smoldering space rocks tearing through the sky.

Meteor Shower is Martin's second Broadway production, following Bright Star, the bluegrass-flavored musical he co-wrote with Edie Brickell. It had its world premiere at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre, and had a subsequent production at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, CT. It is produced on Broadway by Joey Parnes, Sue Wagner and John Johnson.

Schumer is the creator and star of Comedy Central's hit series Inside Amy Schumer. After starring in the romantic comedy feature Trainwreck and the comedy Snatched opposite Goldie Hawn, the seasoned stand-up comedian is next seen onscreen in the PTSD drama Thank You for Your Service and the comedy I Feel Pretty. She is repped by UTA and Carrie Byalick at B. Company.

Key, of Comedy Central's Key & Peele, is also part of the casts of USA's Playing House and Netflix's Friends From College, as well as the upcoming reboot of The Predator and the crime movie Madero. He is currently making his off-Broadway debut in The Public's production of Hamlet opposite Oscar Isaac. He is repped by UTA and Principato-Young Entertainment.

Tony winner Benanti, also a five-time nominee, last starred on Broadway in the 2016 revival of She Loves Me, opposite Zachary Levi and Jane Krakowski. She currently is part of the cast of TBS' The Detour. She is repped by UTA and Brookside Artist Management.

Tudyk, who made his Broadway debut in the 1999 comedy Epic Proportions, was last seen on Broadway in the 2007 revival of Prelude to a Kiss. He is repped by UTA and Coronel Group.
