Amy Winehouse 'Seemed Out Out of It' Day Before Death, Mom Says

Friends and family recall the hours leading up to when the singer's body was found.
Friends and family have described the hours before Amy Winehouse's body was found in her North London home.
On Friday, the day before she died, Winehouse "seemed out of it," her mother, Janis, told the U.K. Daily Mirror. After spending the day together, she said, "I love you mum," Janis recalls.

“They are the words I will always treasure,” says Janis. “I’m glad I saw her when I did.”
Later that night, a doctor visited her at home, and gave her health an "all clear."
"The doctor was happy with her condition. When he left on Friday night he had no concerns. Less than 24 hours later she was found dead," a source told the U.K. Sun.
On Saturday, she told her security team she was tired and wanted to rest around 10 a.m., the U.K. Daily Telegraph reports.

One of her security guards discovered her body around 4 p.m. that day, and rigor mortis had already set in, her rep and friend Chris Goodman tells the Telegraph.
"Amy was on her own at home apart from a security guard who we had appointed to help look after her over the past couple of years," he said. "She was in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep and when he went to wake her he found she wasn't breathing. He called the emergency services straight away. He was very shocked. At this stage no one knows how she died. She died alone in bed."
An autopsy and inquest into her death are being completed Monday, with a funeral to occur shortly after. Winehouse's father, Mitch, visited those who had gathered to pay tribute to the singer at her North London home Monday.
"I know a lot of you, we've been together for five or six years and I know you've got a job to do. I'm glad you're all here anyway," he said. "And as to you people in the street, I can't tell you what this means to us. It really is making this a lot easier. We're devastated and I am speechless. Amy was about one thing and that was love. He whole life was devoted to her family and friends and to you guys as well," he said.
