The Back To Black producer was joined on stage by "Valerie" writer Dave McCabe and Winehouse's backing band for the performance at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, reports NME .

Ronson and Winehouse covered the Zutons singer McCabe's "Valerie" for Ronson's Version album, and the British producer and songwriter performed the hit twice during his first gig since Winehouse's passing.

Watch below, as Ronson performs "Valerie" in honor of his fallen friend, accompanied by Winehouse's back-up singers and a chorus of singing fans.

"It's really lovely getting to play some music here for you tonight. That's what makes everything better," Ronson said at the gig. "I went to her service yesterday (Tuesday), and there was a rabbi that spoke and he said that somebody's life is measured in deeds and not years. That's the best thing I heard yesterday."

"The genius in that woman and what she shared with us is pretty special," he continued. "I'm not going to get all morbid on you. It's just nice to be playing music to people who like good music. She is my sister, wherever she is."

Ronson played Winehouse's Top 10 hit "Rehab" during a DJ set in the middle of the concert, and performed "Back To Black" along with Winehouse's band and Charlie Waller, lead singer of the Rumble Strips, BBC Newsbeat reports.

For years before her death, Winehouse and Ronson were close friends. He produced many of the tracks on her 2007 Back to Black album, including "Rehab," "You Know I'm No Good," "Addicted," and the title track, which he also co-wrote with the soulful singer.

Winehouse, known for her powerful vocals, was found dead in her London home on Saturday (July 23). The cause of death is still unknown. Her influence has been felt far and wide since her passing, as family, friends, musicians and celebrities have mourned and paid tribute to the fallen star.
