Amy Winehouse's 'E! True Hollywood Story' to Air on Thursday
The singer died on Saturday morning in London at the age of 27.
Amy Winehouse's E! True Hollywood Story special will be rebroadcast on Thursday at 10 p.m. on E!
The half-hour special examines the life of the British singer, including her rise to fame, her rocky relationship with ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil and
her death on Saturday at the age of 27.
The special, which originally aired on Feb. 9, 2008, featured interviews with people who had worked with Winehouse during her career, including Femi Temowo, musical director for "Rehab"; Ian Barter, an ex-guitar player who performed with Winehouse; Lloyd Beiny, a former World Entertainment News Network co-worker and journalists who followed Winehouse's career.
The special also had footage of Winehouse performing as a teenager.
The troubled singer had a long battle with drinking and drugs which grabbed as many headlines as her recent musical career.
Winehouse secured widespread acclaim, at age 20, with her 2003 debut album, Frank. Then in 2006 her album Back to Black saw her shore up worldwide fame, winning five Grammy Awards.
