Anchor Bay acquires 'Not Forgotten'

Will put out the thriller in limited theatrical release

Anchor Bay has acquired all rights to "Not Forgotten," Dror Soref's cult-themed thriller that played the 2009 Slamdance Film Festival.

Simon Baker and Paz Vega star and Myriad Pictures and Skyline Pictures produced the pic, which focuses on a series of murders involving "La Santa Muerte," a death-worshipping religious sect popular in U.S.-Mexican border towns.

Anchor Bay will put out the film in limited theatrical release as well as make a big home video push.

The buy marks the second out of Park City for the Overture sister company, following the outfit's pickup of Sundance title, and Ashton Kutcher romantic dramedy, "Spread" last week.
