Anchor Bay promotes three

Cartwright, Seraphim and Zinar upped to SVP

Anchor Bay Entertainment has promoted Julie Cartwright to senior vp, marketing and Sally Seraphim and Raymond Zinar to senior vps, sales.

Anchor Bay president Bill Clark announced the promotions Thursday.

"We've had a successfully great year and these individuals have been key in achieving that success," Clark said. "With the addition of Anchor Bay Films as well as the Ultimate Fighting Championship brand, we are focused on steering quality independent properties through the distribution cycle worldwide."

Cartwright began her career at Anchor Bay in 1998, working on the "Thomas & Friends" brand. In 2003, she moved to New York to become brand manager for HIT Entertainment's licensing department. In 2005, she rejoined Anchor Bay as director of marketing with emphasis on the Manga brand and expanding the TV on DVD business. She was promoted in 2007 to vp and also added the fitness category to her responsibilities. In 2008, the children's category team began to report to Cartwright as well.

Based in Los Angeles, Seraphim joined Anchor Bay in 1998 as director of national accounts. She oversees both the Wal-Mart and Sam's Club accounts.

Zinar joined Anchor Bay in 2006 as vp, sales, responsible for launching and promoting the rental and wholesale distribution sides of the business. Zinar is also a part of the acquisitions team.
