Anderson Cooper Slams Chris Brown Movie Casting
The CNN host added the singer to his RidicuList Tuesday after news that he'll appear in a romantic comedy.
Anderson Cooper takes his movie casting seriously.
On Tuesday, CNN's AC360 host ripped into singer/actor Chris Brown, who is currently on probation for the 2009 assault of former-girlfriend Rihanna.
Cooper's beef? Reports that the entertainer was cast as the lead in the film adaptation of Steve Harvey's self-help relationship book, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.
"Ladies and gentlemen, particularly ladies, Chris Brown has been cast in a movie," Cooper said during his RidicuList segment. "But, it's not just any movie, it’s a romantic comedy based on a self-help book about relationships. And I, for one, can not imagine why this did not happen sooner, because if there’s one thing you can say about Chris Brown, who’s currently on probation for viciously assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna, he just oozes romance."

The host went on to highlight Brown's other angry outbursts, including the May incident at ABC's Good Morning America, in which he trashed his dressing room and smashed a window and his use of the word "gay" as an insult in June.

He also sarcastically calls out the rapper's multiple video apologies calling him Percy B. Shelley and said he looks forward to the inevitable apology he'll be making after the movie's April release.
