"The Amazing Spider-Man" star will play Biff Loman in the revival of Arthur Miller's classic.
Andrew Garfield is headed to Broadway, but not for the same superhero he plays on screen.
The Amazing Spider-Man actor will play the son of Willy Loman, Biff, in the upcoming adaptation of Arthur Miller's classic, Death of a Salesman, according to The New York Times.
The 28-year old joins a cast that includes Philip Seymour Hoffman as the traveling salesman and Linda Emond as his wife, Linda. The show is produced Scott Rudin and will be directed by Mike Nicols. It is expected to open at the Barrymore Theater in March of 2012.
This will be the Broadway debut for Garfield. Hoffman has previously been nominated for two Tony awards.
The troubled Broadway adaptation of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, officially opened on June 14.
