Ang Lee to Liev Schreiber: 'You Have Really Nice Legs' (Video)
The actor says his deep conversation with the director took a strange turn.
Liev Schreiber was finally sitting across the table from one of his movie heroes, Ang Lee. The conversation was flowing, and then took an unexpected turn.
"I was excited to meet Ang Lee — I'm a big fan — and I'm in his office downtown in New York," says Schreiber. "We're having this long, existential conversation about art and such. At the end, he looks at me across the table and goes, 'Wow, you have really nice legs.' (Laughs.) I thought it would be different with Ang!"
Schreiber went on to work with Lee in the director's Taking Woodstock, where he played a cross-dressing security guard.
Schreiber revealed details of his Lee visit and more during The Hollywood Reporter's drama actor roundtable, which also featured The Good Wife's Josh Charles, The Newsroom's Jeff Daniels, Mad Men's Jon Hamm, Masters of Sex's Michael Sheen and The Normal Heart's Mark Ruffalo.
And below, find out why Schreiber is praising Flight of the Conchords' Jemaine Clement as the "Babe Ruth of acting"
