Ann-Margret to Be Honored at Dallas Film Fest
The March 31-Apr. 10 event will also premiere the actress' latest film, "Lucky," and showcase Sean McNamara's "Soul Surfer."
Ann-Margret has been chosen to receive the Dallas Star Award at the Dallas International Film Festival, which runs from March 31-Apr. 10.
The actress, who has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Carnal Knowledge and Tommy, most recently won a 2010 Emmy for her performance in Law & Order: SVU.
She will be given the award at the festival's opening night. The world premiere of her latest film, Lucky, will take place the following night.
"Ann-Margret is a rare talent in that she has beautifully balanced live musical performances with incredible dramatic film roles throughout her career," Dallas Film Society president and CEO Tanya Foster said.
The fest also announced that the three films that will appear in its Centerpiece screening slots are Shawn Ku's Beautiful Boy, Sean McNamara's Soul Surfer and Patrick Tourville's OK Buckaroos.
