H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco will present the Disney Media Networks co-chair and Disney/ABC Television Group president with prize.
Disney's Anne Sweeney will get the royal treatment when H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco presents the Disney Media Networks co-chair and Disney/ABC Television Group president with the Honorary Golden Nymph Prize at the 2012 Monte Carlo TV Festival.
“Anne Sweeney is one of the most talented, experienced and successful entertainment executives in the world today. She and her team have an extraordinary portfolio of achievements and it is with great pleasure that we bestow upon her the 2012 Honorary Golden Nymph Prize, which serves as international recognition for their contribution to the entertainment industry," His Serene Highness said of the media mogul.
Sweeney oversees ABC Studios, the ABC Owned Television Stations Group, and the ABC Television Network that reaches viewers via more than 200 affiliated stations across the U.S. Sweeney is also responsible for Disney Channels Worldwide's portfolio of 103 kid-driven, family-inclusive entertainment channels including the increasingly popular ABC Family.
“I am deeply honored that my team is being recognized by H.S.H. Prince Albert II and the Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo for Disney/ABC’s role in creating television that inspires and captivates audiences wherever they live," Sweeney said, adding, "Prince Albert has upheld exquisitely the tradition of the Golden Nymph first introduced by his father, Prince Rainier III in 1961.”
The Monte-Carlo Television Festival will be held in Monaco from June 10-14.
