Anni Faurbye Fernandez New CEO at 'Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' Producer Yellow Bird
Fernandez replaces Mikael Wallen, who steps down at the end of the year.
Anni Faurbye Fernandez will take over as CEO at Swedish production company Yellow Bird – the crime drama specialists behind the original The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and the television series Wallander.
Fernandez replaces Mikael Wallen, who will step down on Jan. 1, 2013 after five years at the head of Yellow Bird.
Fernandez's executive producers credits include ones for both the original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and David Fincher's U.S. remake; the Norwegian crime thriller Headhunters (2011) and the BBC's Wallander series starring Kenneth Branagh.
Yellow Bird, which is owned by production conglomerate Zodiak Media, recently signed up with Johnny Depp's production outfit Infinitum Nihil and Copper writer/producer Tom Fontana to develop a TV series based on the plays of Shakespeare.
