She has served as senior vp since 2009.
APA has promoted agent Jackie Knobbe to partner, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned. Knobbe is a senior vp in the comedy touring department, representing clients including Lewis Black, Saturday Night Live’s Leslie Jones, Ron White and Kathleen Madigan.
“I owe my success to learning from the best booking agent in the business, Jackie Knobbe — as do several others who work at other companies now,” APA head of comedy Mike Berkowitz said in a statement. “She is finally getting the credit she is due, and I couldn’t be more proud to call her my partner.”
Knobbe’s career began at the Irvin Arthur Associates agency in 1994. In 1999, she left to launch APA’s comedy department, at the time one of the first of its kind among Hollywood agencies. A decade later, she was promoted to senior vp.
“Jackie is one of the best comedy touring agents in the business,” APA president and CEO Jim Gosnell said in a statement. “Her talent, tenacity, hard work and expertise in servicing our clients and expanding our comedy footprint has proven an incredible asset to the company.”
