Apple CEO Tim Cook Does "Carpool Karaoke" With James Corden
The video served as a promotion for the 'Carpool Karaoke' spinoff show, which Apple has agreed to stream exclusively to subscribers of Apple Music.
Tim Cook arrived at Apple's showcase in style on Wednesday morning.
The Apple CEO appeared in his very own version of "Carpool Karaoke" to open the San Francisco event. The Late Late Show host James Corden, who originated the bit last year, picked Cook up and drove the streets of downtown San Francisco with the executive, stopping just once to pick up musician Pharrell, who joined for the ride.
The video served as a promotion for the spinoff show Carpool Karaoke, which Apple has agreed to stream exclusively to subscribers of Apple Music. Corden is not expected to host the spinoff, which will stream weekly for 16 episodes.
During the three-minute video, Corden ribbed Cook for refusing to release any details about the new iPhone. The pair also talked to Siri — who said that scheduling Cook's appointments is "crazy" — and sang along to One Republic. After Pharrell joined in, they jammed to "Sweet Home Alabama" as a tribute to where Cook grew up.
Cook joins a growing list of celebrities who have ridden shotgun with Corden. Others include Adele, Justin Bieber and One Direction.
