Ariel Winter Proudly Showed Breast-Reduction Scars at SAG Awards

Like peers Amandla Stenberg, Ariana Grande and Rowan Blanchard, eloquent teen Ariel Winter has been very vocal about her stance on body shaming and feminism through that favorite adolescent mouthpiece, Instagram.
On Tuesday morning, the 18-year-old actress was at it again, this time defending her decision not to hide her breast-reduction surgery scars with a more covered-up gown or with makeup.

In a classic Insta-teen move, the Modern Family star posted an inspirational quote by Marc Jacobs (“I always find beauty in things that are odd or imperfect — they are much more interesting”) along with the caption, “Embrace all that you are ... Scars & everything. Your imperfections make you perfectly you #loveyourself.”

The actress echoed the sentiment on Twitter, writing "Guys there is a reason I didn't make an effort to cover up my scars! They are part of me and I'm not ashamed of them at all. :)"

The teen has been outspoken about her decision to undergo breast-reduction surgery in 2015, telling People, "I was 15 years old with [size] F [breasts].” She added, "It made me feel really uncomfortable, because as women in the industry, we are totally oversexualized and treated like objects."
