Artie Lange Wants to Return to the 'Howard Stern Show'
During a Fox Sports Radio discussion, the comic also says he'd date Casey Anthony "in a minute."
Howard Stern sidekick Artie Lange is ready to return to the popular radio show.
The comic was a go-to character on Stern's program, relaying tales of wild partying and drunk antics, but that stopped last January when he attempted suicide.
Lange reappeared on the radio Wednesday night as a guest of fellow comedian Nick DiPaolo on Fox Sports Radio’s Tony Bruno Show.
He said he's been sobering up at a rehab in West Palm Beach, Florida and would love to return to The Howard Stern Show, "That would be the greatest thing ever. I was on the greatest show of all time for about nine years, and I put them in a very awkward situation, to say the least, so what am I going to do?"
"I love them all and they were great to me," he concluded.
Lange also discussed the Casey Anthony verdict with DiPaolo, joking, "I was outraged by the verdict, I don’t think she lied to police." He also said he'd date the recently acquitted woman "in a second," adding, "I think it would be good publicity.”
Shortly after Lange's suicide attempt, Stern said on air, "We all have our demons. Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. He's a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Don't forget how great he is."
