Ashley Graham Sizzles on New Maxim Cover
The model talks building an empire in the April issue.
Ashley Graham is back at it again.
Since bursting onto the scene in February as one of three cover models for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, the 28-year-old has been showing off not just her curvacious bod, but also her insider knowledge of the plus-size fashion industry, which she's used to build an empire all her own.
In just the past few months, Graham has championed the cause of body positivity, taking advantage of her platform to empower girls and eradicate stigmas against full-figured women. Additionally, the Nebraska native has expanded her Addition Elle lingerie line, launched her own collection of dresses with Dress Barn, played host for E!'s Oscars red-carpet coverage and designed a new swimwear line with Swimsuitsforall.
Graham opened up about her multiple endeavors in a sexy feature for Maxim's April issue, photographed by Gilles Bensimon. But though she's up to her ears in projects, she has no plans to slow down anytime soon. The ambitious model hopes to continue to spread her message and grow her empire, citing celeb moguls Jessica Alba and Jessica Simpson as role models.
"I know these celebrity entrepreneurs are just people,” Graham says in the feature, noting a TV show is also on her overflowing to-do list. “They’ve just been given the right opportunities and have soared with them. And that’s what I’m trying to do.”
