Actress Ashley Judd and three-time Indy 500 champion Dario Franchitti are divorcing.
"We have mutually decided to end our marriage. We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity and respect we have always enjoyed," the couple said in a joint statement issued to People.
Judd wrote on her Twitter late Tuesday, "Family forever," and included Franchitti's handle.
Judd, 44, and Franchitti, 39, were engaged for two years before getting married in a private ceremony in Scotland in 2001. The actress was often seen at Franchitti's races.
He has won three Indy 500 title wins, the most recent in 2012.
She starred in ABC's Missing and next appears in Olympus Has Fallen. Judd is also mulling a U.S. Senate run in Kentucky.
