Aussie 'Big Brother' gone for good
Ratings decline causing show to wrapSYDNEY -- The 2008 edition of reality hit "Big Brother," which wraps July 21, will be the last here, broadcaster Network Ten said Monday.
While the timing of the announcement was a surprise, the move was not unexpected.
The show, which costs an estimated AUS$25 million ($24 million) per year, was one of the mainstays of Ten's youth-oriented schedule for eight years. Cameos this season by Carson Kressley and Pamela Anderson caused ratings to spike, but were not enough slow the loss of audience.
