Aussie 'Top Model' announces wrong winner

Host Sarah Murdoch given incorrect contestant's name

Tuesday night's finale of "Australia's Next Top Model" might be better known for a major gaffe by its host than for who actually won the contest.

Entertainment Weekly reports that host Sarah Murdoch -- daughter-in-law of News Corp. honcho Rupert Murdoch -- announced on the live show that Kelsey Martinovich had won the reality show. Martinovich gave an acceptance speech and hugged runner-up Amanda Ware but moments later, a visibly distraught Murdoch interrupted the proceedings, saying "Oh my god... I don't know what to say...It's a complete accident...This is insane."

Murdoch said she had been fed the wrong person's name as winner and apologized to Martinovich several times.
