Austin Film Festival: 'La La Land,' 'Trespass Against Us' Set as Marquee Titles
Producer Frank Marshall will be in attendance at the fest, as well as Nancy Meyers, Jason Siegel and Paul Feig.
La La Land and Trespass Against Us have been set as marquee titles at the 23rd annual Austin Film Festival, which is set to run Oct. 13-20.
The Paul Rudd and Patton Oswald-starring animated feature Nerdland and Bryan Cranston's Wakefield also are set to screen at the fest, with Wakefield writer-director Robin Swicord in attendance, along with Nerdland writer Andrew Kevin Walker.
Mega-producer Frank Marshall will be on hand to present his documentary Finding Oscar and also will take part in a conversation that will explore his career as the producer responsible for such films as Raiders of the Lost Ark and Back to the Future.
The Austin Film Festival will screen 20 world premieres, including indie romance One Night and Spanish thriller The Writer’s Burrow.
Taking place the first four days of the event will be the Screenwriter's Conference, which will feature prominent writers from both film and TV, including Jason Segel, Paul Feig, Marta Kauffman and Nancy Meyers.
Jim Jarmusch's Gimme Danger and Garth Davis' Lion are among the previously announced features that will screen at the fest, which will open with a screening of Jeff Nichol's Loving.
