Aziz Ansari Signs With CAA
The comedian continues to star in NBC's "Parks and Recreation" and last year signed a seven-figure book deal.
CAA has signed Aziz Ansari, the multi-hyphenate comedian.
Ansari has been one of the stars of NBC’s Parks and Recreation since the show’s debut in 2009 and balances stand-up comedy with film work.
He recently debuted his highly anticipated third hourlong stand-up special Buried Alive on Netflix and is set to resume his Modern Romance comedy tour across the U.S. this month.
On the film side, he lent his voice to last year’s Fox animated movie Epic and made a cameo in Seth Rogen’s directorial debut, This Is the End. Among his other credits are a starring role in 30 Minutes or Less and appearances in Get Him to the Greek and Observe and Report.
The comedian last year signed a book deal with Penguin Press worth $3.5 million. The tome, tackling the issue of new technologies impacting the single life (also the theme of his new tour), is due to be published in 2015.
Ansari continues to be managed by Dave Becky and David Miner of 3 Arts Entertainment. His attorney is Jared Levine of Morris Yorn. He continues to be repped by APA for his stand-up.
He was previously with UTA.
