'Bachelor' Creator Charged in Malibu Dispute with David Charvet, Brooke Burke
He's charged with a misdemeanor for "willfully, unlawfully, and maliciously disturb[ing]" 'Baywatch' alum David Charvet with loud noise
The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss was criminally charged with disturbing Baywatch alum David Charvet and his wife, former Dancing with the Stars host Brooke Burke-Charvet, said the Los Angeles District's Attorney's office.
"On or between Aug. 1, 2014 and Sept. 27, 2014, the crime of disturbing the peace by loud noise, a misdemeanor, was committed by Mike L. Fleiss, who did willfully, unlawfully, and maliciously disturb another person, to wit, David Charvet by loud and unreasonable noise," a spokesperson for the District Attorney's office said in a statement. Fleiss was charged on Nov. 18.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department issued Fleiss a citation.
Fleiss and the Charvets are neighbors in Malibu and have been fighting over noise. "Charvet and Burke complained Fleiss initiated a campaign of terror and harassment against them, making physical threats and blaring barking dog sounds at all hours from huge speakers pointing at their property," according to TMZ, which first broke the story.
TMZ also claims Fleiss was "uncooperative with police during the investigation … and when they attempted to interview him we're told he said he was busy having sex with his wife." The sheriff's department declined to comment on these details to THR.
But a source tells The Hollywood Reporter, "Charvet has two constantly barking German Shepherds who are disturbing the whole neighborhood,"
The reality guru bought his home from Mel Gibson in 2012 for $9.3 million.
