Jimmy Kimmel Wears Bridesmaid Dress to Help the Bachelorette Pick Wedding Gown
Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiance promised Kimmel they will be together in a year — or they'll pay him $1,000.
Jimmy Kimmel invited The Bachelorette's Kaitlyn Bristowe onto his show on Monday to go wedding-dress shopping, in honor of her engagement to Shawn Booth.
He said that, in the "20 percent chance they'll get married," Bristowe will need a dress, so he and Guillermo Rodriguez joined Bristowe to pick out a gown.
"We don’t want this to be like a Kardashian wedding; we want this to be classy,” Kimmel told the store attendant. When she suggested dresses that weren't white, he alluded to the criticism Bristowe has received for being sexually active on the reality show. "Have you been watching the show? Is that why you told her she can't wear a white dress?" he asked, claiming he was offended.
Bristowe tried on a series of dresses as Rodriguez and Kimmel took tequila shots before they decided that they, too, should try on bridesmaid dresses. "I don't want my bridesmaids looking better than me," joked Bristowe after seeing them in a few options.
Kimmel had Bristowe and fiance Booth swear on a stack of Us Weekly magazines that they would still be in a committed relationship in one year — or else they would pay Kimmel $1,000. If not, "this was a huge waste of everyone's time," recited Bristowe and Booth.
On Monday, Kimmel also played a game of "Which K(C)aitlyn said it," asking the audience to discern Kaitlyn Bristowe quotes from Caitlyn Jenner quotes. In the introduction to the game, he mocked Kanye West's reaction to seeing Jenner for the first time. "It's hard coming face-to-face with your father-in-law's cleavage," said Kimmel.
