Actor-writer Nick Bakay, who co-penned with Kevin James the sleeper hit "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," is reuniting with the movie's producers, Sony and Adam Sandler's Happy Madison, this time on the TV side.

Bakay has inked a blind script deal with Sony Pictures Television to develop and write a half-hour project through Happy Madison.

Bakay has a long-standing relationship with Sony TV. Bakay was a writer-producer and had a recurring role on the studio's James-starring "The King of Queens" and holds similar duties on Sony's " 'Til Death."

Bakay, who is doing some writing for James' next movie, MGM/ Happy Madison's "Zookeeper," is repped by WMA. (partialdiff)
