Barbra Streisand to Perform at Concert for Israeli President (Report)

Barbra Streisand is said to be playing a concert in Israel for the 90th birthday of Israeli President Shimon Peres, the AP reports.

An Israeli official who wished to remain unnamed told the news wire service that the concert will be timed to a speakers conference in June.

Israeli media outlets, the Jerusalem Post and Haaretz, have cited a local television report stating that Streisand will give two performances at Bloomfield stadium in Jaffa in mid-June.

In February, Streisand sang "The Way We Were" at the Academy Awards, marking the first time she took performed at the Oscars in 36 years.
