Bauer upped at Tandem Communications
EmptyCOLOGNE, Germany -- Veteran producer and sales agent Jonas Bauer has been promoted to partner at Munich-based production/distribution company, Tandem Communications, joining company founders Rola Bauer and Tim Halkin.
Bauer joined Tandem in 2004 from DeAngelis Group in Rome, where he put together financing for several international TV projects, including TNT/ARD miniseries "Julius Ceaser" and A&E's "Benedict Arnold: A Question of Honor."
At Tandem, Bauer was key in securing international rights for the CBS miniseries "The Hades Factor" and TNT's Ridley Scott-produced mini "The Company."
"His years of experience as a producer in the international co-production arena have opened many important doors to him both in Europe and in Los Angeles, which further builds Tandem's profile," said Rola Bauer in a statement.
"Making Jonas a partner was taking the logical next step after three years of a productive affiliation with him," added Tim Halkin. "His commitment to Tandem is helping us grow to the next level."
Since launching in 1999, Tandem has established itself as a leading boutique producer and distributor of television event programming. Tandem productions include fantasy epic "Ring of the Nibelungs," starring Kristanna Loken, and Andy Garcia/Frances O'Connor starrer "The Lazarus Child." The German company handles international distribution for productions such as Sci-Fi Channel's "Painkiller Jane" and Lifetime Television's Nora Roberts collection of romantic TV movies.
