He will oversee the publicity team and all campaigns and press activity relating to BBC America and its programs, including Doctor Who, Top Gear, Luther, The Hour and new series Copper, due this summer. Additionally, Johnson also is responsible for the consumer products PR team.

Johnson, who joined BBC America as a publicist in 2007, was most recently director of publicity for BBC America and global brands.

He previously worked at the Today Show.
