BBC Asia boss Leo-McKerrow quits

Leaves after three-year stint in Singapore

CANNES -- BBC Worldwide Channels Asia senior vp and GM Christine Leo-McKerrow has quit after three years, the company said Wednesday.

Leo-McKerrow, who launched BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle and CBeebies in Asia, said only that she was taking a break.

She will leave the regional operation, headquartered in Singapore, at the end of January.

BBC Worldwide Channels U.K.-based managing director Darren Childs is looking for a replacement.

BBC Global Channels employs more than 50 people in Asia.
