BBC's African channel acquires ITV titles
'The Street," 'Miranda' picked up by BBC EntertainmentLONDON -- BBC Worldwide's African channel BBC Entertainment has picked up ITV Studios distributed titles "The Street" and "Miranda," premiering some of the best known U.K. TV faces in markets across Africa.
BBC Entertainment has picked up the first series of "Miranda" 6x30 and all three 6x60 series of BAFTA and International Emmy award-winner "The Street."
"We're always on the lookout for high quality programs that not only fit well with the BBC brand, but also resonate with our international audiences," said Bun Scrase-Dickins, vp acquisitions, BBC Worldwide Channels.
"These shows have been popular in the U.K. and we're delighted to deliver them to audiences in Africa on BBC Entertainment."
