BBC's Wayne Garvie exits for All3Media
Running int'l production across 20 independent companiesLONDON -- BBC Worldwide head of content and production Wayne Garvie has jumped ship for British super-indie All3Media, where it was announced Thursday that he will run international production across 20 independent production companies -- including "Undercover Boss" creator Studio Lambert and Gordon Ramsay's One Potato Two Potato.
Garvie, who was one of the producers who originally helped launch the BBC format "Dancing With the Stars" on ABC, has headed the BBC's international production business since 2006 and was the BBC's head of entertainment from 2001.
At All3Media he takes the newly-created role of managing director of International Production, reporting to chief executive Steve Morrison, with the brief to enhance expansion in the U.S., Europe and other markets.
"Wayne is one of the most recognised television executives on the worldwide scene and will be instrumental in the further growth of our international business," said Morrison. "He will also help convert our prolific pipeline of creative content into programs around the world."
