'Beautiful Night' to open L.A. Brazilian fest
Event will close with 'Golden Oldies' picZelito Viana's "A Beautiful Night to Fly" will serve as the opening-night film of the second annual Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival on March 12 at the Landmark Theatre in Los Angeles. The fest will close March 15 with Hugo Carvana's "Golden Oldies."
More than 60 Brazilian films, including features, shorts, animation and video art works, will screen at the fest, which will include a special tribute to direct Glauber Rocha.
The Rocha tribute will include a screening of his film trilogy -- "Black God, White Devil," "Earth Entranced" and "Antonia das Moretes."
