Behind Bella Hadid's Bombshell Cannes Beauty Look
It's all about the supermodel's reality-defying contoured cheekbones.
It may be Bella Hadid's first time at the Cannes Film Festival, but the model already is owning the French Riviera's most famous red carpet.
Case in point: At the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival's opening-night gala and Cafe Society film premiere, the 19-year-old wowed in a slinky cutout Roberto Cavalli by Peter Dundas gown and de Grisogono diamonds — a look that was only further heightened by the supermodel's signature cheekbones and flawless complexion.
To create a look that was as effortless as it was glamorous, Hadid enlisted the help of makeup maestro Patrick Ta (also a favorite of her sister Gigi's) who knew exactly how to play up the model's contours. The secret? Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow ($68), a staple in his kit for sculpting and highlighting. "This product photographs amazingly, and Bella loves a soft, contoured look," he said.
Ta complemented the look with equally dramatic eyes, using Charlotte Tilbury's Life Changing Lashes eyelash curler ($22) before painting on two coats of the brand's Legendary Lashes mascara ($32) to emulate a false-lash effect. Topped with a soft and subtle nude lip in Charlotte Tilbury's K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick ($32) in Penelope Pink, Hadid was ready for her big night on the town.
