Bellum Launching Sports Bloopers Series, Travel and History Show in Syndication
The producer-distributor also has renewed "Unsealed: Alien Files" for a third season.
Bellum Entertainment has added two new syndicated series to its weekend slate while renewing another.
What Went Down and State to State will launch in the fall, while alien-mysteries show Unsealed: Alien Files has been renewed for a third year.
Bellum will produce and distribute the shows for stations nationwide. All three series are cleared with on the Tribune Broadcasting O&O station group.
What Went Down is a half-hour weekly sports bloopers series featuring "hilarious sports screw-ups, epic fails and bold attempts at glory."
State to State is a travel and history series that will join Bellum's nationally syndicated educational/informational block, which is compliant with FCC rules that mandate that TV stations must air at least three hours of E/I programming a week.
Unsealed: Alien Files will continue to investigate alien and UFO case files, made accessible to the public in 2011 by the Freedom of Information Act.
“We’re looking forward to expanding our relationship with Bellum with What Went Down, and bringing more great original content to our stations,” said Sean Compton, president of programming for Tribune Broadcasting.
The news comes on the heels of Bellum greenlighting two new series: Fix It & Finish It with Antonio Sabato Jr. and Flip My Food with chef Jeff Henderson. Bellum partnered with Raycom Media on the production of both series.
Bellum's roster also includes The Coolest Places on Earth, On the Spot, Origins, Family Style With Chef Jeff and Animal Atlas.
