Benedict Cumberbatch Says He Has No Plans to Quit 'Sherlock'
"I can’t imagine that I will ever get tired of being Sherlock"
Benedict Cumberbatch loves Sherlock just as much as his fans do. In a recent interview, the actor talked about the BBC television role that brought him so much fame, dispelling any concerns that he might get too big for the show and quit.
“If we can keep the quality up,” he told Vogue, “I can’t imagine that I will ever get tired of being Sherlock. I’d love to play him as an old man.”
The show returns with a one-off special, expected at the end of 2015. The fourth season will premiere after that as the long wait continues. Still, there is comfort in the actor's comments that he'd like to play Sherlock for a while, even if the seasons are as spaced out as the third and fourth. After all, BC's cheekbones would look lovely with gray hair.
