Benicio Del Toro in 'Escobar: Paradise Lost'

From 'The Hunger Games' to the drug war, Josh Hutcherson just can't stay out of trouble

Benicio del Toro rocks some impressive facial hair and a menacing scowl playing notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar in the first trailer for Escobar: Paradise Lost

In the forthcoming thriller, Nick (Josh Hutcherson, The Hunger Games) is on a surfing trip in Colombia when he gets a bit more than he bargained for by falling in love with Maria. It happens that Maria's uncle is Escobar, which means that a blood-splattered face is in Nick's not-too-distant future.

In a key scene, Escobar wants to make sure he can trust Nick, but he says it in a way that sounds a bit more menacing than, say, Robert De Niro's similar speech in Meet the Parents.

Escobar: Paradise Lost, written and directed by Andrea Di Stefano, premiered at this year's Telluride Film Festival and hits theaters on Nov. 26.
