Berlin 2012: Metrodome Scares Up U.K. and Irish Rights to Horror Thriller 'Lovely Molly' With Newcomer Gretchen Lodge
The Eduardo Sanchez-directed movie debuted at last year's Toronto Film Festival and is being sold by Content Film during EFM.
BERLIN -- U.K. indie distribution banner Metrodome, floated on the Alternative Investment Market, scared up a U.K. and Irish rights deal memo for horror thriller Lovely Molly, starring newcomer Gretchen Lodge.
Directed by Eduardo Sanchez, best known for The Blair Witch Project, the movie is billed as a disturbing haunted house possession story. It unspooled at last year's Toronto International Film Festival.
The deal for U.K. and Irish rights was negotiated by Metrodome acquisitions chief Joel Kennedy and Jamie Carmichael for sales, finance and production banner Content Film, a division of Content Media Corp. Image Entertainment has secured U.S. rights to the movie.
Sanchez penned the screenplay with Jamie Nash. The movie is produced by Robin Cowie, Jane Fleming, Gregg Hale and Mark Ordesky.
