Berlin 2012: Shah Rukh Khan Cancels Berlin Flight
Bollywood superstar suffering from fever will disappoint fans at premiere of “Don 2.”
BERLIN – Shah Rukh Khan has canceled his flight to Berlin on doctor’s orders. Khan was scheduled to fly into Berlin Thursday in time for the Berlinale gala screening of Indian actioner Don 2. But a heavy cold and fever grounded the Bollywood superstar, who told his fans via Twitter than he would be delaying his flight and might not be coming at all. Khan also cancelled several stops on his Berlin media junket, including a planned appearance on a German talk show.
Tickets to the Don 2 gala Saturday sold out minutes after going on sale and a mob of Khan’s frenzied German fans were expected to turn out to scream on their hero. Don 2 co-star Priyanka Chopra, director Frahan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani will attend the gala, together with German stars Florian Lukas, Florian Fitz and Rike Schmid.
