Berlin: Festival Announces Dates for 2015
Wes Anderson's “The Grand Budapest Hotel” opened this year's festival and won Berlin's grand jury prize.
The Berlin International Film Festival has announced its dates for 2015.
The 65th Berlinale will run from Feb. 5-15, 2015. The European Film Market, the industry event that runs concurrent to the festival, will go from Feb. 5-13.
This 2014 Berlinale, which wrapped on Feb. 16, was a mixed bag. The festival lineup, including Wes Anderson's opening film, The Grand Budapest Hotel; Richard Linklater's Boyhood; and Golden Bear-winner Black Coal, Thin Ice, from Chinese director Diao Yinan, drew critical acclaim. But the general mood at the EFM was muted, with few big deals and much grumbling, particularly from second-tier U.S. sales companies.
