Bernadette O'Neill To Be Honored At Irish Civic Day Ceremonies

The co-author of the book "Emeralds in Tinseltown: The Irish in Hollywood" will be recognized for her contributions to Irish film at the March 15 ceremonies.

Bernadette O’Neill will be honored for her contributions to Irish film and Irish Americana by the Mayor and City Council of Los Angeles at the 128th annual Irish Day Civic Ceremonies, taking place at 9:30 a.m. on March 15 at the Los Angeles City Hall Rotunda.

O’Neill co-authored the book Emeralds in Tinseltown: The Irish in Hollywood, along with Steve Brennan, the late international editor of The Hollywood Reporter.

She also writer/producer of the documentary The Irish in Hollywood, co-founder of the Los Angeles Irish Film Festival and founder of the Children of Lir Theatre Company in Los Angeles.
