Bev Hills fest to honor DP Haskell Wexler

Legends Award will be presented at April 5 gala

The ninth annual International Beverly Hills Film Festival, which runs from April 1-5 at the Clarity Theater in Beverly Hills, will honor cinematographer Haskell Wexler with its second annual Legends Award. He will be presented with the award at the fest's awards gala April 5 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

The festival will kick off with the world premieres of two short films -- Dan Neira's "Wanna Be Me" and Jullian Dulce Vida's "Nobody's Shalom" -- and the feature "Drifter: Henry Lewis," directed by previous BHFF award winner Michael Feifer.

The two-time Oscar-winning Wexler ("Bound for Glory, "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf") also is expected to attend opening night.
