Beverly Hills Police Chief: Ronni Chasen Murder a ‘Rare, Isolated’ Incident
Assures public the community is still “one of the safest in the nation.”
Beverly Hills Police Chief David Snowden has put out a statement maintaining that publicist Ronni Chasen's "horrific" death Tuesday was not reflective of the Beverly Hills community.
"I would like to assure the public that this was a rare, isolated incident," Snowden said in his first official public statement since the killing. "The Beverly Hills community remains one of the safest in the world."
Snowden added that detectives working the case were "dedicated to this case around the clock."
"Their goal is to capture the suspect(s) and resolve this horrific crime."
The 64-year-old publicist was shot in the middle of a Sunset Boulevard residential area.
