Big Frame Signs YouTube Talent Arden Rose, Aspyn Ovard and More (Exclusive)
The boutique talent management firm has added 11 new creators
AwesomenessTV-owned talent management firm Big Frame has signed nearly a dozen new YouTube creators to its roster.
The company announced Friday that it has added talent from across several verticals, including beauty, gaming, lifestyle and comedy. The additions come about a month after Big Frame tapped Fullscreen talent head Larry Shapiro work with co-founder Sarah Penna on signing emerging talent to the company.
"We're kicking it into high gear," Shapiro tells The Hollywood Reporter of the additions. "One of the reasons Big Frame recruited me is to help grow the company and build this into a talent management firm whose talent is born out of the digital space."
Big Frame's new talent includes Arden Ricks, a comedy and beauty vlogger with more than 900,000 YouTube subscribers who goes by the name Arden Rose, beauty and lifestyle vlogger Aspyn Ovard, who has more than 960,000 subscribers, and Kevin Droniak, the comedian behind the YouTube channel That Kid Needs Medicine.
Shapiro says that all of the talent Big Frame has signed have "true voices" and are creators with the ability to "create IP that will transcend and move across platforms."
"This space is no longer just about brand deals," he continues. "It's about building IP and formats."
Although Big Frame is part of the AwesomenessTV family, Shapiro says the company is agnostic when it comes to the multi-channel network space. Ovard and Ricks, for example, are signed to beauty-centric MCN StyleHaul, and gamer Lisa Malambri works with Maker Studios.
"The MCN is just one of the things in your portfolio as a creator," Shapiro notes. "They help you with brand deals, but they are focused on their business. As a management company, we're focused on helping talent grow."
