Bill Maher is switching up his Vegas act.
The firebrand comic and host of HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher has set a 2013 residency at the Palms casino resort, moving from his previous Las Vegas home at the Orleans.
Maher will perform at The Pearl, the Palms' 2,500-seat theater, on March 23-24, June 8-9, Sept. 6-7 and Nov. 2-3. Tickets will go on sale Jan. 11 at noon.

In addition to hosting his HBO show, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, Maher remains active on the touring circuit. A March 2012 Hollywood Reporter cover story noted that Maher performs as many as 60 live shows around the country each year. "To just sit in your ivory tower in L.A. would be very claustrophobic," he said, noting that traveling to different cities allows him to get out of the "liberal bubble" and "feel this country in a way I can't from here."
Maher's HBO series hit ratings highs during the 2012 election season. HBO last year renewed Real Time for two more seasons, keeping the show on the air until at least 2014. He is repped by CAA and manager Marc Gurvitz.
