Billboard and Hollywood Reporter 2014 Film & TV Music Conference Plans Announced
Planning for the 2014 Billboard + Hollywood Reporter Film and TV Music conference officially kicked off with the annual Advisory Board Luncheon on June 19 at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. This year’s conference is expanding from years past, moving to the Globe Theater on the Universal Studios lot on Nov. 5 and 6.
The Advisory Board comprises a group assembled by Billboard senior correspondent film & TV Phil Gallo each year to help guide the programming for the conference. The luncheon marks the conference season's first official event.
Subjects discussed at the luncheon ranged from the conference venue to hot-button issues facing the industry that will be covered, as well as whom to consider for the guest Q&A bookings and potential nominees for this year's THR Maestro Award.
Last year's Conference featured Amos Newman, the head of music for visual media at William Morris Endeavor, interviewing his father, Randy, the Oscar-winning composer and songwriter.
The Billboard + Hollywood Reporter Film and TV Music conference will feature dynamic Q&As with some of the biggest names in music placement, panel discussions and one-on-one networking opportunities.
Registration is currently underway here, with a Billboard Biz discount of $50 off current rates.
